The T37 chair of Tolix was originally designed for the World Exhibition in Paris in 1937. The chair was given the official title of "industrial design". The chair is entirely made of steel and is stackable.

Designer:
Xavier Pauchard

Xavier Pauchard (1880-1948) was a French metalworker widely credited for bringing the art of galvanising steel furniture to the French industry. In 1927 he registered the brand TOLIX and started manufacturing his range of metal furniture. Among the range was the Chaise A which is now considered to be an icon of French design.
